FREE STAGE COMBAT INTENSIVE & CERTIFICATION
We’re assembling a cohort of 12–16 performers for a free, 30-hour stage combat intensive culminating in an SAFD proficiency test (with an additional 3 hours for adjudication). Training will be led by an SAFD Certified Teacher with an Advanced Actor/Combatant assisting. The focus will be one weapons discipline (TBA).

October 13-20, 2025.
Format: Intensive model (e.g., 5 days × 6 hours, or 3 weekends × 10 hours).
Location: Magic Theatre, San Francisco.

Cost
Free to participants. A value of $2,250+/person.
Who should apply
Bay Area actors, movers, and storytellers at any experience level who want rigorous, professional fight training.
We especially encourage BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and emerging artists to apply.
Commitment & requirements
Full attendance for all 30 training hours plus 3 hours for adjudication (no conflicts, non-negotiable)
Ability to participate in physically demanding movement safely.
Sign a liability waiver and agree to SAFD EEE safety/COVID protocols.
Bring water, movement-safe clothing/footwear.
Space is limited—max 16, min 12.
