We at Magic Theatre have been closely following the rapidly changing information concerning the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic. In light of recent developments and in line with the latest public health advisories, we have made the difficult decision to close Don’t Eat the Mangos earlier than planned.
We have also postponed our annual gala, and our next production, Escaped Alone, exact dates to be announced.
As theatre-makers who bring people together to experience live performance, it pains us to make this determination. We appreciate the impact of this decision on our community including the incredible artists, who have created this astounding production, our passionate staff, and our vital community of theatre lovers and advocates who have made plans around these performances but we must consider how best to protect our audiences, staff, and artists, as well as do our part in the collective efforts to contain the coronavirus.
We are continuing to pay our staff and artists so the support of donors, subscribers, and single ticket buyers is especially crucial to our continued existence. Like many other business and arts organizations, we are realizing considerable losses due to COVID-19. You may choose to donate your tickets back to the theatre for a tax-deductible donation or receive a credit for a future performance.
Although it may seem as if the sky is falling, we trust we will get through this together and we look forward to welcoming you back to the theatre again. In the meantime, thank you so much for your patience and understanding. Please take good care of yourselves.

Please note: There is no late seating and no refunds. Patrons who arrive after curtain time will not be seated and their ticket price will not be refunded. Consider Magic for your next group outing! For groups of 10 or more, we offer special discounted rates plus 1 FREE ticket with your purchase. For larger groups, we may be able to reserve the lounge for a private reception or even organize a private TalkBACK for your group. If you’d like to use Magic Theatre shows as a fundraiser for your organization or would like to arrange a pre-show reception, please contact us. Depending on availability, we can make the theatre lobby or lounge available for you. We don’t provide catering services, but we would be more than happy to work with you to best accommodate your needs.
Magic Theatre is conveniently located at the Fort Mason Center with ample public parking available to accommodate large groups, and the Marina and its surrounding neighborhoods are full of great restaurants if you’d like to make your group outing into a full-night social event.

During performances the Box office hours are Mondays: 10am-5pm Tuesdays: 11am-6pm Wednesdays-Saturdays 12pm-7pm and Sundays 12pm-3pm.
