At Magic Theatre, our focus is on breathing life into new work with the playwright by our side and with the audience as accomplice to achieve our three core values: excellence, adventure and relevance. Magic’s programs are highlighted by our commitment to developing work through a continuous series of readings, workshops, salons, festivals and special events throughout our season. Not only is Magic Theatre an epicenter of bold, innovative work, but we are one of the few houses in the country that consistently incubates new plays from embryonic idea to full-scale production and features exclusively new work on our mainstage. Magic is a home for emerging, mid-career, and career playwrights to test their metal and take big risks within the safety of our diverse programming.
